Your Local utility provider together with the OPA (Ontario Power Authority) and the Provincial Government has begun a program that will make residential and business owners solar power generators. It requires that the generator (home or business owner) enter into contract with the OPA for a period of 20 years. The electrical energy produced by solar panels can then be sold at a guaranteed rate of 80.2 cents per KWH for the entire length of the contract. This allows the generator to obtain financing and have assurance to recover not only the initial cost of the system but also to make some money in the process.
Using very high quality equipment such as Sharp solar panels with a 25 year warranty (and making panels for over 40 years) and Xantrex, Sunny Boy (SMA America) and Fronius inverters with a 10 year warranty and proven track records of excellence in the industry is the surest way to maximize profits over the term of the contract.
